Conventional sunscreens are not as safe as we assume they are.
They contain ingredients such as parabens, camphor, cinnamate and oxybenzone. Oxybenzone is a well known hormone disruptor and is banned in many parts of the world.
They also contain ingredients that can accelerate skin-related cancers, and are also known to be massively damaging to coral in the sea.
Sun-dose is a natural, un-fragranced sunscreen, of approx. SPF20.
Regardless of the spf shown, it should still be reapplied often, and shade and sensible clothing is still needed.
It contains only four ingredients, with no added parabens, toxins or chemicals, and has never been tested on animals.
Application: It is best to do a patch test on a small area before applying to any larger areas. Reapply often throughout the day. More so at peak times, and if in and out of water. In high sun, try to keep in the shade and keep covered up to avoid burning.
Ingredients : Coconut oil (SPF 4-6), Shea butter (SPF 4-6), Beeswax and non-nano Zinc oxide.
Disclaimer: Unlike conventional sunscreens, naturally made sun cream may not be as waterproof or have a high spf.
